Sara Marsden Named Director of Marketing
Sara Marsden is passionate about the arts, marketing, and our great city, Richmond. She previously served for 8 years as Marketing Director for Barksdale Theatre and Theatre IV (now VA Rep) and prior to that as Director of Patron Services at TheatreVirginia. Sara has most recently been working in the healthcare industry as Corporate Marketing and Communications Manager for Advanced Patient Advocacy. Sara is proud to serve the community as a board member at her children’s school, Lynnhaven Academy, and as a past board member at 5th Wall Theatre. She is thrilled to return to the arts and honored to have this new opportunity at SPARC.
Sara will begin her new position at SPARC on Monday, December 19, 2016.
Paul Major Promoted to Resident Faculty and Director of Summer Fun
Paul Major, who has been teaching for SPARC for over three years, is joining the full-time Resident Faculty (alongside Brendan Kennedy and Courtney Vollmer), where he will continue his teaching and oversee all of SPARC’s summer camp programs.
Paul holds a B.F.A. in Music Theatre from Shenandoah Conservatory. He has performed all over the country including Dollywood and the Tony Award-winning production of Paul Green’s The Lost Colony. While performing at Dollywood, he received the I.A.A.P.A. award, the highest honor bestowed upon any theme park performer worldwide. In the area, Paul has performed in countless shows with Virginia Rep and has done several projects for other theaters in the area, including teaching, choreography, stage management, and design work for SPARC. He is honored to be part of this amazing organization and can’t wait to continue to grow and learn with his students.
