Camp Description:
August Adventure Jr. is a fast-paced, two-week camp that takes students through the entire process of putting on a musical.
In these two weeks, students will audition, understand best theatre practices, learn ensemble-building theatre games, and of course, rehearse their show! The August Adventure experience culminates in a performance for friends and family in a professional venue supported by technical elements like lights and sound.
Disney’s Frozen KIDS is a fanciful and heartwarming stage adaptation of the celebrated animated film. Join Anna, Elsa, Olaf, Sven, and all your favorite characters as they embark on an epic, ice-filled journey of self-discovery, camaraderie, and the real meaning of true love. Adapted for young performers, this musical includes favorite Frozen songs such as “Love Is an Open Door,” “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?,” and “Let It Go,” as well as wonderful new songs from the Broadway production.
The last day of camp, August 8, will take place at Henrico Theater (305 E Nine Mile Rd, Highland Springs, VA 23075) so youth have time to rehearse and prepare for their final sharing performance at the theater that night. Final sharing performances occur on the evening of the last day of camp, Friday, August 8, at Henrico Theatre.
